2004 highlights: Sounders finished 18-13-5 overall and were the A-League runner-up in the postseason, falling to the Montreal Impact 2-0 in the championship match. Outscored league opponents 44-39 in 28 regular-season matches and five more playoff contests.

2005 USL First Division format: The A-League is now the USL First Division with one 12-team table. The regular-season champion will receive a trophy called the Commissioner's Cup. The top six teams qualify for the playoffs with the first two seeds earning first-round byes. There will be no overtime matches in the regular season. Overtime sessions will be used only in the playoffs to break series ties.

Sounders live on TV: Portland Timbers at Sounders, July 8, Fox Sports World, 8 p.m.

Sounders On-Demand: Ten Sounders home matches will be made available on Comcast's On-Demand service this season. The replays will be offered at no additional charge to those subscribing to Comcast's digital cable service and will be available for 48 hours after the completion of each game. The matches: Saturday, May 11, May 25, June 25, July 20, July 27, Aug. 6, Aug. 13, Aug. 26 and Sept. 9.

Radio: All games will be on KKNW 1150 AM with announcer Thom Beuning. Pregame show starts 15 minutes before kickoff. All 14 regular-season home games and home playoff games will be broadcast in Spanish on KXPA 1540 AM with announcers Noe Menendez and Rene Alleman.

Tickets: Single games: $12 for general admission; $17 for reserved seats. Six-game packages: $66-$96, open-ended vouchers for six games for all ages. Season packages: $140-$210, adults; $25-$50, season youth pass (18 and under, based on volume of tickets purchased). Call 206-622-3415 or TicketMaster at 206-628-0888.
