RENTON — Sophomore forward Keilah Fanene scored 21 points and Evergreen used a 15-4 third-quarter run to beat Renton 44-33 in a Seamount League King Division girls basketball game last night. The Wolverines (5-2 overall) stayed unbeaten in league games at 4-0.
It was the sixth loss in eight games for Renton (4-6, 0-4).

The Patriots (2-10, 1-2) hit 10 of 22 three-point shots in a Seamount Pierce Division victory. CeCe McMullen and Alissa O'Connor each hit four three-pointers for Washington.

Sara Mosiman and Haley Zevenbergen scored 23 and 22 points, respectively, as the Knights (9-1, 2-0) rolled past the Wildcats in a collision of Cascade Conference powers. King's, which has lost only to Alameda, Calif., in the Surf 'N Slam Tournament in San Diego, led 45-31 at halftime. Krista Eknes led Archbishop Murphy (9-1, 1-1) with 14 points.

Caitie Newman scored 19 points and Marcella Litwillwer 16 to help South Whidbey (4-4, 1-0) beat the Tigers (4-5, 0-2) in the Cascade Conference. Kaitlyn Reedy led Granite Falls with 17 points.

The Red Wolves (5-1, 1-1) built a 13-point halftime lead with a big second quarter, then held on for a Cascade Conference win despite a fourth-quarter rally by the Turks (4-4, 0-2). Kippy Powers of Sultan led all scorers with 16 points.

Tara Holgate had 16 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocked shots as the Lions (10-0, 3-0) survived a scare for a Northwest B League victory. Lorissa Cultee's three-point play for Lummi (3-6, 3-2) cut the Blackhawks' deficit to a point before the Lions ran out the clock. Cultee scored 24 for Lummi, which outscored SCC 11-2 in the fourth quarter.
