Tuesday L.A. Lakers at Sonics (7 p.m., FSN): Let the fireworks begin. After taking verbal shots at each other in the preseason, Kobe Bryant and Ray Allen finally get a chance to settle their differences on the court. Wednesday Detroit at New York (5 p.m., ESPN): For anyone missing the NHL, this game is for you. Expect a slugfest beneath the rim. The Pistons are ranked fourth in points allowed and the Knicks struggle to score. Thursday Cleveland at Detroit (5 p.m., TNT): Behind early MVP candidate LeBron James, the Cavaliers are the unexpected leaders of the Central Division. Friday Phoenix at Sonics (7:30 p.m., ESPN): This meeting of two of the NBA's highest-scoring offenses has the potential of being the most entertaining game of the season.
