Play of the game: Oregon quarterback Kellen Clemens scored the game-winning TD on a 13-yard draw with 1:21 to play. The run gave Oregon its first lead of the game.

Star of the game: Clemens ran for three touchdowns and passed for three touchdowns. He completed 36 of 55 passes for 437 yards and didn't throw an interception. He rushed for 36 yards on 14 carries but the figure includes minus yardage from five sacks.

WSU highlight: Quarterback Josh Swogger and wide receiver Jason Hill combined for TD passes of 39 and 25 yards in the first quarter. They now have combined for seven TDs in the past three games.

WSU lowlight: The Cougars allowed 27 fourth-quarter points.

Key stats: The Cougars allowed the Ducks to amass 646 total yards. Terrence Whitehead of Oregon rushed for 166 yards on 22 carries. Tight end Tim Day caught eight second-half passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns.

He said it: WSU coach Bill Doba: "We scored 38 points. That's usually enough to win. We just didn't play well enough defensively."

Injuries: No significant injuries reported.

Next: Stanford at Martin Stadium, 7:15 p.m. next Saturday.
