UW Men's Basketball
Brockman, ranked among the top 30 players in the country, is expected to choose the Huskies over Duke. Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski made a home visit in early September, and Brockman visited the Duke campus two weeks ago. Another highly-recruited local player, 6-6 senior guard Martell Webster from Seattle Prep, has not yet committed to a school. Webster, who recently eliminated Arizona from consideration, also is considering Washington. Brockman and Webster impressed recruiters this summer while playing for the Seattle-based Friends of Hoop AAU team. Brockman's sister, Kirsten, played at UW until she retired last season because of injuries. His brother, Paul, will play for Seattle Pacific this season.
