KEIZER, Ore. — The Everett AquaSox kept their slim playoff hopes alive with an 8-3 win over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in a Northwest League game last night.

With one game remaining, Everett is one game behind West Division-leading Vancouver, which lost in Eugene, 6-4, last night. If Everett beats Salem-Keizer today and Vancouver loses, the AquaSox would qualify for the Northwest League Championship series against Boise. That series begins tomorrow.

Everett built a 7-0 lead on Yung-Chi Chen's two-run double in the third inning and Mike Wilson's two-run double in a four-run fourth inning.

Aaron Trolia (2-3), a right-hander from Tacoma, allowed two runs on four hits in 7-2/3 innings.
