Tucson walks away with one

TACOMA — The Tucson Sidewinders won the first game of a doubleheader in Tacoma last night, winning on a bases-loaded hit batter.
With the score tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth inning, Tucson's Brian Barden was hit by an 0-2 pitch with two outs, forcing in the go-ahead run in a 2-1 Sidewinders victory.
Brett Evert (0-2) started for Tacoma, allowing two runs on two hits in 5-2/3 innings.
Tucson starter Sergio Lizarraga (1-1) picked up his first Class AAA win, permitting only a solo home run to Ryan Christianson over 5-2/3 innings.
The second game did not finish in time for this edition.
