EVERETT — The Vancouver Canadians averted a series sweep, beating the Everett AquaSox 7-3 in a Northwest League game last night.

Thomas Everidge and Javier Herrera both hit home runs for Vancouver. Everidge's second homer in two games helped the Canadians take a 4-2 lead in the third inning.

Herrera hit a two-run shot in the seventh inning.

Everett first baseman Bryan LaHair went 3 for 5 with three doubles and a run batted in.

The AquaSox didn't help themselves by committing three errors and stranding 10 base runners.
