SALT LAKE CITY — Elpidio Guzman scored a run in the first inning and drove in another in the second to help the Tacoma Rainiers to a 5-2 victory over the Salt Lake Stingers last night.

Guzman, Bucky Jacobsen and Luis Ugueto each had two hits and one run batted in for Tacoma.

Cha-Seung Baek (2-2) allowed one earned run in five innings.

George Sherrill tossed three shutout innings and Scott Atchison pitched a scoreless ninth for his third save.
