PLAYER OF THE DAY: Samantha Tinned, Garfield. The 6-foot-1 sophomore had 24 points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots.

ALMOST PERFECT: Prairie drained 21 of 22 free throws (95.5 percent).

TURNOVER FRENZY: University beat Mount Tahoma despite 28 turnovers. Fast-paced Mount Tahoma had 15.
