RED DEER, Alberta — The Red Deer Rebels beat the Everett Silvertips 2-1 in Western Hockey League action last night.

The Rebels' Colin Fraser scored at 7:02 of the first.

After a scoreless second period, Red Deer's Chris Neiszner scored at 19:05 of the third.

Riley Armstrong averted a shutout by putting the Silvertips on the scoreboard at 19:35 of the third.

Everett recorded 26 shots on goal. Red Deer had 17. The Silvertips were 0 for 4 on power-play opportunities.

Everett is 16-15-6-1, fourth in the U.S. Division.
