Two-year Twitter anniversary (Saturday links)

This site tells me I've been on Twitter for two years today, meaning two years ago I lost my freedom...

I kid, let's celebrate with links:

--- Good day in the EPL for Americans/MLSers: Thierry Henry scored a late winner for Arsenal, Landon Donovan had an assist in Everton's win over Chelsea, Tim Howard got the shutout, Clint Dempsey fired a wicked shot that resulted in an own goal off the back of the keeper to lead Fulham to victory and Tim Ream/George John made travel squads for Bolton and West Ham, respectively.

--- Upcoming CCL opponent Santos Laguna lost 3-1 last night to Morelia.

--- Here's some info on the Sounders' third-annual kickoff luncheon. Limited seats are available. You get to watch practice and hang out with players, coaches, etc.

--- The news became official Friday. The academy season has been extended to 10 months and academy players won't be allowed to play high-school soccer anymore.

--- Here's a report that says Tottenham will play the Red Bulls in a summer friendly. With the Spurs success (they're up 5-0 on Newcastle as I type this) and the Harry Redknapp connection, what would you think about Tottenham being the Sounders summer friendly opponent?

--- Goal.com talks to executives at Portland and Sporting KC for their open use of Twitter.

--- Montreal played its No. 1 pick Andrew Wenger at forward the other day. It's not a shock, but he can also play as a midfielder or defender.
