* * *
(When were you first approached by the Sounders?) "During World Cup I was approached to start talks and I'm very happy to be here now."
(Why Seattle and MLS?) "I was asking contacts that I have, my friends that I have, and they told me that MLS in American is a very strong league, so it worked out well."
(What are your first impressions so far?) "I'm very impressed by the team. I'm very impressed by the sports complex that we have here. I was very impressed with the fans last night in the stadium."
(What type of player are you?) "I'm fast, I'm agile and I'm versatile."
(What do you know about the DP rule that you're entering the league under?) "I've heard the word and I need to check out a little bit more what that means for me."
(What was the locker room like after they beat Ghana in the World Cup?) "We were so happy and it was crazy. You can't even describe the craziness that happened."
(Were you surprised at the World Cup run?) "We had a great group. We had a great team. We accomplished it objective by objective and we're so happy we got fourth place."
(Does having a lot of Spanish speakers on the team help you fit in?) "Without question it's helped me a lot in adjusting so far and welcoming me here to Seattle. But undoubtedly I want to learn English and be able to communicate for myself here in English."
(What did you know about Seattle coming in?) "Honestly I knew nothing about Seattle before I was given the offer, but when I found out I started looking it up on the internet and it looks like a great, really pretty city."
(What's your family situation as you move to Seattle?) "I'm married. I have a wife and she's expecting a baby, so I'm hoping to bring her here as soon as possible."
(Recently married?) "Yep, just a few days ago. Very recently."
(Was your wedding scheduled for a different time?) "Yeah, it was planned for earlier but the World Cup went on a while so we had to speed things up a bit."
