Sounders FC practice games, 10-9-09 (the reserves)

Posted by Jose Romero

There were two 60-minute (30 m. halves) matches. One for the reserve team, one for the first unit.

The reserves played a Vancouver Whitecaps team made up of senior roster players that won't be in the USL-1 finals and players from the Whitecaps' youth development system.
Seattle's lineup in that first game was Chris Eylander in goal (at least in the second half), defenders Lamar Neagle, Zach Scott, Patrick Ianni and Evan Brown; midfielders Nathan Sturgis (defensive CM), Michael Fucito on the left, Stephen King in the middle and Sanna Nyassi on the right; Sebastien Le Toux and Roger Levesque up front.

Le Toux and Fucito scored goals. Le Toux also got a great cross from Neagle and hit the post. Sounders FC was almost entirely in control. Fucito put on a burst of speed on his way to scoring that was impressive. Scott had a header that was just high, and Neagle was involved in a nasty aerial collision but the Vancouver player got the worst of it.
