Sounders FC practice, 9-30-09
Posted by Jose Romero
Sebastien Le Toux, who spent Tuesday on an exercise bike, was back to full practice today and said he is feeling better. From what he told me, he had flu-like symptoms but never had a cold before they hit.
The team is off to Columbus early tomorrow morning. Coach Sigi Schmid plans to reunite with staff members from the Crew at a local bar for a pint, a tradition that started when he was in Columbus.
Sigi's recommendations for Columbus (in case you are going):
"The Easton Mall is as nice a mall as there is. My wife's favorite restaurant was a place called Brio in the Easton Mall. The one I got recommended to me by Dr. Edwards of our team is a place called Handke's, which is in downtown Columbus in the brewery district...supposedly the guy makes the best creme brulee in the world. It's a German chef, so I'll have to look for that."
Ezra Hendrickson, a Sounders FC assistant coach, recommends the Easton Mall restaurants. And Brad Evans said the best sushi he ever had was in Columbus.
