The Walk - underrated Morris Day and the Time hit from back in the day. Wasn't everything he did underrated? YES!!!!!

On a much more serious note, Sigi Schmid ripped into the boys at times during the roughly 20-minute post-practice talk the team had, which you see in this video.

Schmid had said he was going to light into the boys after last night's loss. He did, after the team for some reason walked from one end of the field to the other at Starfire, maybe to get out of earshot. But Schmid described the scene as a dialogue with the players, with him getting the last "summarization."

"That was just a little sports pscyh exercise that we did," Schmid said of the walk. "It's just for us."

Schmid stressed the difference between winning and losing is small. He said little things change games, and that he wanted to re-emphasize finishing chances.

"There was some good points brought up by the players as we were talking, and I feel very good about that," Schmid said.

"The end was me," Schmid said. "I get to summarize."

Schmid, at times during the talk, was very demonstrative with hand gestures and one could tell he was serious and unhappy with his team's play. After the talk was over, the players quietly walked off the field. None of the typical joking and messing around as is usually the case.

Schmid said he talked to "one or two players" about the PK situation from last night.

"Fredy is a confident goal scorer and I'm sure he would feel very confident stepping up on another one," Schmid said.

Forward Nate Jaqua said the talk was productive.

"We missed a good opportunity last night," he said. "It's a little step away from us being a great team and we have to do the little things to turn ourselves into a good-great team. We let little things go, and they add up."

Jaqua said he'd like to have a couple of his chances back.
"That's the way it is sometimes. We gotta go to Houston and figure out how to get a result."

Jaqua said it wasn't the first time Schmid had had a talk with the team in that manner.
I would assume that all together after a walk, though, was a first. At least the first I have seen at practice.
