Sounders FC practice July 19
Posted by Jose Romero
Pretty light day, a lot of regeneration for the players. The focus has shifted to the U.S. Open Cup match Tuesday.
Of course, that doesn't stop the players from clowning around. That's James RIley right behind Roger Levesque during an interview.
Coach Sigi Schmid said Tuesday's lineup will lean more toward the use of more regular starters than backups, as in the Kansas City match, when seven typical starters were in the opening 11.
Tyrone Marshall played all of the Chelsea game because he had the most rest since his last game with Jamaica, and he felt he could do it.
Schmid was also happy with what he saw from Osvaldo Alonso as far as his health Saturday. Alonso played the first half.
