On the game:
"I thought we had a good first half except for the last minute. I thought we had the better chances. Unfortunately, we conceded again. It was a very soft goal and it cost us dearly today. It was very difficult to come back from that dramatic goal against but at the end, it's a point and I think we played for our pride in the second half and I think it was worth it."

On getting a break on Juan Pablo Angel's goal:
"I was disappointed (actually) because if you remember, Juan had an open header in the seventh minute, then I think Nick had two good shots. I think we were close, closer than them. When Juan got that, I think most teams get that goal more than once in a season so I thought it was OK. I thought it was probably worth it because of the way we approached the game today trying to go forward. But again, we allowed a very soft goal and then on, it was very difficult."

On Jeremy Hall's role in Seattle's goal:
"O think you have to ask him. We all saw the same play. I thought he was going to let it go. I don't know, I didn't ask him why he didn't let it go."

On Danny Cepero:
"He was very good. I think he was our best player last week and probably our most influential player today again."

On the outcome of the game:
"I think obviously we would like to win the game and I think we were capable of winning the game. Aside from the breakdown, I think we played well enough not to just get the draw, but get the 'W' and getting those two points for us would have been huge. At the same time, you have to take the good with the bad. We fought hard until the end. I think we should have found a goal somewhere at the end but at the same time, you can't be depressed at a tie, especially when you are losing games day in and day out."

On making tough saves over the course of the game:
"That's what I get paid to do as a soccer player. You have to perform every night. Those are the saves that I'm expected to make. I was just happy to be at the right place at the right time. I feel a lot more comfortable in goal in general, and in positioning and decision making. I'm more confident and have more trust in my teammates, specifically the defenders, and I think that reciprocates in that they have a more confidence in me and that leads to better play all around."

On facing the Seattle Sounders FC for the second time:
"The atmosphere [was a lot different]; playing at home is a lot easier. We knew what to expect, where they were dangerous, and how they'd come at us. I think that showed on the field."

NEW YORK RED BULLS DEFENDER JEREMY HALL

On losing the ball that lead to a goal in stoppage time of the first half:
"It was a goal kick and it was going out and I was chasing after it. I thought it hit off one of our players and I thought I heard the goalie, he didn't say, 'Save it,' but he said, 'Leave it.' So I saved it and took an extra touch, one that I shouldn't have, and got punished for it so it's hard. I feel like a baseball pitcher who just gave up a walk off. It cost us points and I feel terrible. I just didn't think he [Fredy Montero] was that close. I tried to clear it after that, and he slid and stayed with it and put it in."

NEW YORK RED BULLS FORWARD JUAN PABLO ANGEL

On tonight's result:
"I think we had a little bit of luck on a couple of plays, and certainly on the one that I scored, it was a rebound and I was quick to react. Hopefully, that will be the stop of that downfall that we had. We should have won the game, but I am happy with the point at the end. It was a relief, and great to score a goal in front of our supporters. But I always said I will sacrifice my own performance for stopping this situation and start winning games."

SEATTLE SOUNDERS HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On tonight's match:
"We gave away a goal that we shouldn't have given away. But we were able to get one back, you know they made a mistake as well. So as we said at halftime, it was all even; they gave us one, we gave them one. On the second half, I thought battling is something we maybe didn't do at the end of the game against D.C. (United), but I also thought we created some good chances at the end. It was a little unfortunate when (Roger) Levesque was in there that one time, (Fredy) Montero was in a couple of times, he hit one off the post and one off the crossbar."

On Montero's Goal:
"I mean, that was an unbelievable goal, you know when he strikes all of the ball and he gets all of the ball. Then, there's not much anybody can do to stop it, and he just ripped it. I think it's got to be one of the candidates for Goal of the Week."

On playing without some key starters:
"Well guys did well, I mean (Patrick) Ianni played well for (Jhon Hurtado) Kennedy, and obviously Nate (Jaqua). We've had some injuries up front, so it's almost like we have five starters there anyway, but I thought the guys balanced off fairly well. I thought (Fredy) Montero put forth a really big effort tonight on terms of just being active, moving around the field. His fitness is getting better all the time which is a big plus for us."

SEATTLE SOUNDERS FORWARD FREDY MONTERO

On tonight's match and the goal:
"It's a ball that I recovered on the right flank, I quickly got into the box and I managed to strike it well to the far post. It helped us breathe a little easier to go into halftime and work on the mistakes we made during the first half. On the second half, I believe we stepped out with a different attitude, we had all the chances to score. Sadly, that is the way football works, sometimes we win and some other times like today, we tie having all the chances in the world."

On the final five minutes:
"During the entire second half, we had our chances. The final five minutes were exhilarating, they put everybody on the offensive side and our forwards had some one-on-one chances. A bittersweet tie, due to all the preparation we put towards this game, but I'm content because the team little by little is settling in. Being a new team is not easy, and we have to improve as time goes on. Other teams have a sort of head start on us due to the fact that they have been working together for such a long time."

On Seattle's success during the first season:
"This is not an easy league, there are teams with some great players. I have to give our coach Sigi Schmid two thumbs up for the job that he has done. He put together a great team and even though we are not all to the level where he wants us, I believe that as the games and time goes on, we will all be at the level where coach wants us. Hopefully, this team stays on the rise and we reach the playoffs on a high note."

SEATTLE SOUNDERS GOALKEEPER KASEY KELLER

On tonight's match:
"I just don't know how you play on that surface. I mean, it's a shame, I've heard it was bad but I didn't believe it was this bad. It's a shame. I just don't know how you play a good game on this surface. In the end, we gave them a goal and they gave us a goal, we battled hard and had the better chances in the second half, they held on and they kept the point. It will only get better when they get into their new stadium and you can actually play there."

On Seattle's season:
"We have a good balance of experience and some youth helps a lot, also having three or four guys who played together in the USL team before it became the MLS team, we have some real familiarity and obviously having an experienced manager helps. He was able to bring some people who he knew could do the job for him and in the end, it has worked out very well. It's tremendous for the crowds we get and the excitement around the city. It would have been a real shame for us if we had some thirty thousand people and we got our butts kicked, so it's nice to get off to a good start."

On Fredy Montero's goal:
"It was a great goal but it was still a mistake and it was a mistake from the defender, you just have to clear your lines and if you have to kick it into the 10th row then you do it. I think sometimes we forget that the game is about results and I would love to have nice pretty football but sometimes the right thing to do is to kick it into the 10th row."
