Hurtado, Vagenas, Ljungberg limited in practice today; Ianni for Marshall

Posted by Jose Romero

But there is nothing to be concerned about, Sigi Schmid said afterward. I expect those two to start this week.
Hurtado played three times and the full 90 minutes last week (two regular-season games and Open Cup match). He is the only player left on the team to have played every minute of every regular-season game. Vagenas is still working on his fitness because he missed training camp with the knee injury and is rounding into shape. Ljungberg just got some rest because he was feeling some tightness.

Not the case for Osvaldo Alonso. He said he feels better but will wait until Monday to test his sore quadriceps on the field. So he is almost certain to miss this week's game. So will Zach Scott, though he started jogging today and both are making progress.

Schmid said Patrick Ianni will replace the suspended Tyrone Marshall at Chivas USA this week.
