Too bad for Chelsea, plus today's Sounders FC practice

Posted by Jose Romero

Just saw the end of that UEFA Champions League semifinal. Wow. Good for Barca. I guess it was pretty controversial, though. Drogba went ballistic on the head ref and got a yellow. So the Chelsea team you will see here in Seattle in July will not be UEFA champs.

As for Sounders FC, today's practice took place in the rain and by the end, guys were slipping and sliding on the FieldTurf. The 8-on-8 game was really competitive.

I have confirmed that there have been discussions about opening up the covered seats in the lower deck at Qwest Field and increasing capacity for games. The team wants to make sure those seats will sell out before it decides to open them up for purchase. A decision could come very soon.

Video from practice today. Montero scored on Keller.
