VANCOUVER, B.C. — Abby Wambach scored twice in the first half to move into third on the career goals list for women's international soccer, and the United States beat Guatemala 13-0 Sunday to clinch a berth in the semifinals of the CONCACAF qualifying tournament for this year's London Olympics.

Wambach, 31, has 129 goals, behind retired U.S. standouts Mia Hamm (158) and Kristine Lilly (130).

Former UCLA player Sydney Leroux, Wambach's halftime substitute, scored five goals to equal the national record for goals in a match held by Wambach, Brandi Chastain, Michelle Akers, Tiffeny Milbrett and Amy Rodriguez.

Fans booed Leroux, who was born and raised in British Columbia but has an American father and has opted to play for the U.S. team.

U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo, a former Washington Huskies standout from Richland, didn't have to work hard for the shutout as her team had an 18-0 advantage in shots on goal before 6,259 at BC Place.

The United States won its first group match of the tournament 14-0 over the Dominican Republic on Friday and faces Mexico in a contest that will decide the Group B title Tuesday night.
