FC Dallas, Colorado Rapids play to draw in Major League Soccer

FC Dallas remained unbeaten for the eighth match in a row, playing a 1-1 tie with the host Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — FC Dallas stayed unbeaten for the eighth match in a row, playing a 1-1 Major League Soccer draw with the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.

Colorado defender Julien Baudet put the ball into his own net in the 22nd minute.

Colorado's Mehdi Ballouchy converted a penalty kick.

FC Dallas is third in the Western Conference with 27 points, two more than Sounders FC and three points more than the Rapids.

Revolution 1, at Union 1

Marko Perovic scored an unassisted goal from about 30 yards in the 71st minute, allowing New England to salvage a 1-1 draw with first-year Philadelphia.

Red Bulls 2, at Dynamo 2

Thierry Henry had two assists in his MLS debut, setting up Juan Pablo Angel for goals to give New York a tie against Houston. The former Barcelona and Arsenal standout from France passed to Angel for goals in the ninth and 58th minutes.

Brian Mullan scored in the 90th minute for the Dynamo.

At Wizards 1, Toronto FC 0

Teal Bunbury took advantage of a defensive miscue and scored in the 62nd minute to lift Kansas City to victory over Toronto FC.

At Real Salt Lake 3,

D.C. United 0

Alvaro Saborio, Robbie Findley and Nelson Gonzalez scored as defending MLS champion Real Salt Lake extended its franchise-record home unbeaten streak to 20.

At Chivas USA 3, Crew 1

Justin Braun, Blair Gavin and Carlos Borja scored in the first 53 minutes as Chivas USA defeated East-leading Columbus.

Note

Rafael Marquez was released from the final two seasons of his contract with Barcelona of Spain, a move that would allow the 31-year-old Mexican defender to join former teammate Henry with the New York Red Bulls.
