SANDY, Utah — Robbie Findley scored twice in the first half to boost Real Salt Lake to an easy 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night.
Real Salt Lake earned a spot in the playoffs a couple hours after its win when Seattle defeated Dallas.
Findley got Salt Lake (11-12-7) on the board in the 15th minute when he headed a pass from Fabian Espindola inside the right post, threading the ball between Rapids goalkeeper Preston Burpo and the post.
The speedy forward tacked on a second goal in the 33rd minute when he took a deep lob pass from Andy Williams.
