Brad Evans, who until last Saturday night was one of four Sounders FC players to have played every minute of every regular-season game, will have an MRI today to determine the severity of an injury to his left knee.

Evans, who has played center and outside midfielder for Seattle in its nine games this season, went down hard after a midair collision with FC Dallas goalkeeper Ray Burse late in Saturday's game. He was taken off the field on a stretcher, holding his head, and was able to walk back to the bench with assistance.

Evans suffered a mild concussion from the collision. He was officially replaced by Sanna Nyassi in the 79th minute.

The 24-year-old from Phoenix, who won an MLS Cup with coach Sigi Schmid and the Columbus Crew last season, has been a constant in the Seattle lineup and has scored two goals in 2009. His replacement in the starting 11 has yet to be named, but if Freddie Ljungberg is over the migraine that kept him out of Saturday's game, Ljungberg and Osvaldo Alonso will be Sounders FC's No. 1 center midfielders.

Also, Sounders FC defender Zach Scott, who started Saturday for the first time since April 18 but had to leave with a groin pull in the 18th minute, will see a medical specialist today about his injury. Sounders FC resumes practice today after having Monday off.
