MIAMI — The Seattle Sounders, playing their third match in five days, finished an exhausting road trip in the Southeast with a 0-0 draw Sunday with Miami FC.
In a brutal game that included 31 fouls and an ejection for Sounders midfielder Kenji Treschuk, Seattle (3-2-5 USL First Division) fought hard to escape with a point.
The Sounders' best chance of the game came in the 65th minute when Sebastien Le Toux's bending shot towards the far post was just saved off the fingertips of goalkeeper Josh Saunders.
Next up for the Sounders is a match against the Minnesota Thunder at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Starfire Sports Complex.
From team reports.
