ATLANTA — The Seattle Sounders ended their three-game trip to start the season with a 2-0 victory Friday over the Atlanta Silverbacks in a rematch of last year's United Soccer Leagues First Division championship.

Goals from Leighton O'Brien and Sebastien LeToux gave Seattle (1-1-1) the three points.

Seattle beat Atlanta 4-0 in the 2007 USL title game.

The Silverbacks started well Friday with scoring opportunities in the fourth and fifth minutes.

Seattle opened the scoring in the eighth minute when O'Brien scored unassisted on a corner kick.

LeToux scored in the 65th minute off a Danny Jackson assist.
