Capsule preview: Sounders vs. Virginia Beach

When: 7 p.m., tonight

Where: Qwest Field

Records: Virginia Beach 1-5-3, 6 points, seventh in USL First Division; Seattle 1-1-2, 5 points, tie for eighth in USL First Division.

Radio: KKNW (1150 AM), KTFH (1680 AM)

Bottom line: The Sounders meet Virginia Beach for the first time since a 5-1 home win on June 22, 2002 when the visiting club was known as the Hampton Roads Mariners. So, it's the first showdown in three seasons for the franchises and the second overall. Sounders GK Preston Burpo has recorded four consecutive shutouts, including three in USL First Division play, and has not allowed a goal for 360 consecutive minutes. Virginia Beach F-MF Darren Caskey ranks fifth in USL First Division scoring with seven points on three goals and one assist.
