Things begin to move quickly for the Seattle Sounders pro soccer team now.
The Sounders open training camp tomorrow and they follow that Saturday with the first of five exhibition matches, kicking off the exhibition schedule against Gonzaga University at Bothell's Pop Keeney Stadium at 7 p.m.
Seattle opens regular-season play in the United Soccer Leagues' First Division, formerly called the A-League, at home April 30 against the Portland Timbers. Game time for the season opener is 7 p.m. at Qwest Field.
The Sounders won the Western Conference title last season with playoff series wins over Portland and Vancouver to reach the A-League championship match. Playing for the franchise's third league title, Seattle fell to the Montreal Impact 2-0 and finished 18-13-5.
Seattle captured back-to-back A-League titles in 1995 and 1996.
The Sounders end their regular season against the Impact on Sept. 9 at Qwest Field.
