Vancouver Whitecaps @ Sounders When: 7 tonight at Qwest Field Radio: KKNW (1150 AM), KXPA (1540 AM) Notes: The Sounders are coming off a 1-0 win in Vancouver on Sunday, snapping a seven-match winless streak against the Whitecaps. Seattle needed the win to keep on track for its 10th playoff berth in 11 seasons in the A-League. The top four teams from the conference qualify for postseason play and three teams Seattle, Minnesota and Milwaukee are battling for the final two spots. ... Vancouver and Seattle conclude their four-match season series and are 1-1-1 in the first three games. ... The Sounders are 4-1-1 in their last six matches. ... Seattle is 5-3-3 at home this season. ... Sounders MF Jason Farrell, the team captain, returned Sunday after missing six games with a severely sprained right ankle. ... The Sounders lead Vancouver 37-21-7 in the all-time series. ... Sounders F Welton tallied his ninth goal of the season in the 57th minute of Sunday's win in Vancouver. ... After missing more than half the season with a broken jaw in 2003, Sounders GK Preston Burpo is tied for third in the league in games played (25) this season. Welton and fellow F Roger Levesque are tied for 11th in points with 18. ... Seattle has three games left in the regular season, including tonight's match, all at home. The Sounders close out the season at Qwest Field on Sunday against the expansion Puerto Rico Islanders and on Aug. 28 against the Minnesota Thunder. The final match could decide a playoff berth.
