NBA Notebook | Lebron James sets Cavs mark

CLEVELAND — Already a supreme scorer, LeBron James is second to none.

James passed Brad Daugherty as Cleveland's career scoring leader in the first quarter of the Cavaliers' 90-83 win over Toronto on Friday.

It took Daugherty 548 games to amass 10,389 points. James, in his fifth pro season, has 10,414 points in just 380 games.

"To be the all-time leader is something that I never dreamed of," said James, who scored 29 on Friday. "But now that it's here, it's an unbelievable feeling."

Notes

• Heat F Udonis Haslem had season-ending surgery to remove a bone spur from his left ankle, becoming the fourth Miami player to be officially shut down for the season because of an injury. Miami had already lost G Dwyane Wade, F Dorell Wright and C Alonzo Mourning, all with various knee injuries.

To help alleviate roster woes, Miami signed F Stephane Lasme and G Blake Ahearn to a 10-day contracts.

• The estranged wife of former referee Tim Donaghy is seeking a restraining order after accusing him of verbally and physically abusing their children.

Kimberly L. Donaghy filed for the court order Monday, days after Manatee County (Fla.) sheriff's deputies were called to the couple's Bradenton home because they were fighting.
