NBA Notebook | Heat, Hawks set for game replay
MIAMI — Dwyane Wade typically takes the first few minutes of games to find a rhythm and get his Miami Heat teammates involved in the offense.
He won't have that luxury tonight because the outcome could be decided in a mere 51.9 seconds.
The Heat will visit the Atlanta Hawks to replay the final moments of their game that began Dec. 19 and was originally played to an overtime decision, one eventually erased from the books by the NBA because the Hawks' stat crew erroneously said Shaquille O'Neal had six fouls and kept him off the floor for those final 51.9 seconds.
The NBA ordered a rare do-over, the first since 1983. When the suspended game resumes, it will be Miami's ball, with the Hawks leading 114-111 late in overtime.
"They better not give me the ball," Wade said. "I might shoot a three right away."
Notes
• Indiana suspended C David Harrison for one game for conduct detrimental to the team. The announcement came a day after Harrison was called for a technical in a game against San Antonio as he yelled at an official after being hit in the face by Spurs F Matt Bonner.
• C Andris Biedrins returned to Golden State's lineup after missing six games following an appendectomy.
• The NBA suspended Miami's Alexander Johnson for Friday's game because of a flagrant foul earlier in the week.
