In the mail: Ballots will be mailed to Snohomish County's approximately 340,000 registered voters Thursday. The voters pamphlet is being mailed today.
Voting deadline: Ballots must be returned or postmarked no later than Sept. 19. Completing the ballot: After you've marked your ballot, place it into the secrecy envelope and seal it. Then place the sealed secrecy envelope into the purple envelope. Sign the purple envelope (if it isn't signed, the ballot won't be counted). Follow the directions on the outer envelope to fold and seal it. Place a first-class stamp on the envelope. Certification: The county will certify the election Sept. 29. The state will certify it Oct. 10. If you don't receive a ballot by Sept. 8: Call the county auditor's elections office at 425- 388-3444 or stop by the office in downtown Everett.
