Wednesday, June 21, 2006 - Page updated at 12:00 AM Snohomish County sports Everett to get hoops teamThe Everett Explosion is scheduled to be the newest team to call the Everett Events Center home. The International Basketball League, a second-year minor-league professional-basketball league, has announced that Everett will be one of seven expansion teams added to the men's league in 2007-08. The IBL now has 24 teams, including these Northwest teams: the Seattle Mountaineers, Tacoma Thunder, Vancouver (Wash.) Volcanoes, Portland Chinooks and Salem (Ore.) Stampede.
