The second-seeded Lynnwood Royals (14-6) will open the Northwest Class 3A District Tournament against the seventh-seeded team from Bellingham. The winner will advance to the semifinals at 8 p.m. Saturday at Squalicum High School in Bellingham.

Stanwood at Snohomish, 7:30 p.m. Thursday

Snohomish entered the final week of the regular season tied with Cascade of Everett for first in WesCo North, and Stanwood was battling Marysville-Pilchuck for third place.

Meadowdale at Kamiak, 7:30 p.m. Thursday

Both teams entered the week fighting for WesCo South berths to the Northwest 4A District tournament. Shorewood will host Jackson in another key regular-season finale Thursday.

Girls basketball

Kamiak at Meadowdale, 7:30 p.m. Thursday

Meadowdale, in first place in WesCo South, entered the week with a one-game division lead over Jackson. The Northwest 4A District Tournament is to open Tuesday at various sites.

Snohomish was battling with Lake Stevens for the WesCo North title when the week began.

State championships, Friday-Saturday at Tacoma Dome

Friday's 3A competition will begin at 9 a.m., with 4A at 2:15 p.m. On Saturday, finals are to start at 12:20 p.m.

Wrestling

Mat Classic, Friday-Saturday at Tacoma Dome

Friday's state-meet matches will begin at 10 a.m., with the second session at 4 p.m. Matches Saturday are scheduled to start at 10 a.m., with the finals at 5 p.m. Lake Stevens, which finished second in Class 4A last year, is led by defending champion Kelly Kubec at 130 pounds.

State championships, Friday-Saturday in Federal Way

Friday's competition will start with 3A/2A diving preliminaries at 9:30 a.m., 3A/2A swim prelims at noon and 4A swim prelims at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, the 3A/2A meet is to begin at 11:30 a.m. and the 4A meet at 5:30 p.m.
