The senior scored a last-second takedown to beat Lake Stevens' Kai Vanleuven 6-4, capturing the 140-pound championship at the Class 4A Region I tournament Saturday at Jackson High School in Mill Creek. Kintner won his first two matches 14-0 and 11-2, and will head to state with a 33-3 record.

Everett girls basketball

On Everett's Senior Night, the 5-foot-11 senior guard-forward and co-captain scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Friday to lead the Seagulls to a 60-52 win over Shorewood. In a 65-57 loss to Mountlake Terrace last Wednesday, Seanoa had five steals and five rebounds, and led all scorers with 26 points.

Darrington

boys basketball team

The Loggers, coached by Jeff Bryson, fell to Lummi 48-44 in the Northwest B District tournament championship game Saturday but still earned a tri-district berth by beating Tulalip Heritage 68-48 in the semifinals the night before. Darrington topped North Sound Christian 67-36 in the first round. The Loggers will open the tri-district tournament against Tacoma Baptist at 6 p.m. Friday in Arlington.
