Class 2A state semifinals Archbishop Murphy vs. East Valley (Yakima) at Tacoma Dome

The two best teams in Class 2A football meet in what some people are calling the real championship game. Archbishop Murphy, which has a 39-game winning streak, is the only Snohomish County football team still playing. The winner heads to the finals at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 against the winner of the Connell-Othello semifinal.

Boys, girls basketball

Jamboree at Marysville-Pilchuck High School 2:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday

Can you believe it? It's time for hoops already. If you need an early fix, three WesCo schools will participate. Boys start at 2:30 p.m., girls at 5:30 p.m. The regular season for most teams begins the first week of December.
