Fair Days Parade

The annual parade starts at 11 a.m. from its staging grounds at Monroe Junior High School, 1408 W. Main St., and goes to South Blakeley Street. The 120 entries include floats, bands and the Snohomish County sheriff's motorcycle drill team. Information: 360-794-5488.

SATURDAY, GOLD BAR AREA

Tipi Trek

Watch an interpretative dance program of Plains, Northwest Coast and Pueblo cultures in a Native American show called "Box of Daylight." Dances, music and stories are part of this two-hour performance, which begins at 7:30 p.m. each Saturday through mid-October at Skyland Ranch, 43100 Reiter Road. Admission to the show is by donation; the money will go toward improving the theater. Dinner-theater packages are available for $14.95; reservations are required for dinner, which starts at 6 p.m. Overnight tepee accommodations also are available: ages 17 and up, $50; ages 7-16, $25; children under 7, free. NEXT MONTH, EVERETT AND CAMANO ISLAND

Art festival

The 2004 Camano Island Roaming Artists Show and Sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 4-5 at Terry's Corner Fire Station, Highway 532 and North Camano Drive. Local scenes, still lifes and florals painted by 36 regional artists will be on display.

In Everett, the second annual Pop & Arts Street Festival will showcase 125 artists and craftspeople, and have three stages featuring ballet, pop music, jazz and world music. It takes place Sept. 11-12 along Wetmore Avenue and Wall Street. Information: www.sagpro.com or 425-303-1848.
