Pet microchips offered

The city of Everett and Snohomish County will offer free pet microchips to the first 500 county residents between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 27 at the Everett Animal Shelter, 2732 36th St.

Each participant's pet will get a free microchip implant with the owner's name and contact information.

The event is sponsored by the county Animal Advisory Board in conjunction with the Everett Animal Shelter and the county auditor's licensing division, with support from veterinarians.
