Have another 12 months gone by already?
Almost.
So while we're counting down those final few days to Jan. 1, 2011 — a date that can't get here quickly enough for Brett Favre, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, et al — let's take one final look back at a very wacky 2010 with our annual 12 Months of Chatter:
January: No. 1 shooting guard
Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas faces a possible suspension for brandishing a weapon in the team's dressing room.
On the plus side, he's suddenly the leading vote-getter for the NRA All-Star Game.
February: Hitters' park
The Brewers announced plans to unveil a 7-foot statue of commissioner Bud Selig outside Miller Park on Aug. 24.
Pigeons and catchers report Aug. 23.
March: Labor Days
Ye Li, the 6-foot-2 wife of 7-6 Rockets center Yao Ming, is expecting the couple's first child this summer.
Doctors predict the girl will be born July 22, 23 and 24.

April: Giant mistake
Giants officials were left red-faced this week when Eugenio Velez trotted out for a game in a jersey with the words "San Francicso" across his chest. The official scorer immediately declared it an error on the stitcher.
May: Who needs Mel Kiper?
The Cleveland Browns found themselves a candidate to play offensive tackle — Canadian Joe Reinders — after a team employee spotted him on a YouTube video.
Considering he grew to be 6 feet 7 and 320 pounds, little chance that all of the other Reinders used to laugh and call him names.
June: 100% chance of Wayne
All 15 staff members at the Bay Horse pub in England, in a show of support for their World Cup team, temporarily changed their names to Wayne Rooney.
Just be glad that Kaka isn't British.
July: Love at first bite
So, Eddie Munster — OK, former kid actor Butch Patrick — is dating a former Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader?
Wonder if they're getting season tickets down in the coffin corner.
August: You grow, girl
Brazilian Elizane Cruz Silva ranks among the world's tallest teen girls — 6 feet 9 and still growing.
She turns 15 on Sept. 27, when a quiet celebration is planned with family, close friends and Geno Auriemma.
September: Mane attraction
Troy Polamalu, the hirsute Steelers safety, has gotten his considerable coif insured for $1 million by the makers of Head and Shoulders shampoo.
Underwriters' biggest fear, by far: split ends across the middle.
October: Bad shot of Coffee
Former running back Glen Coffee, who abruptly quit the 49ers for the ministry, was arrested after Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) police say they found a cocked pistol in his car during a traffic stop.
Apparently he's touting the gospel of Matthew, Mark, Smith & Wesson.
November: Illegal procedure
As if things couldn't get any worse for the 1-7 Cowboys, someone forgot to renew the team's DallasCowboys.com domain name, stonewalling online readers when the website went blank Sunday night.
On the bright side, though, it was the first thing they'd blocked in two weeks.
December: Football 101
Q: What do you call Jets staffers in tandem along the sideline?
A: The Trips Formation.
With that, let's stumble into 2011.
