Report: Jon Kitna to become football coach at Lincoln High School

Jon Kitna, a former Seahawk and long-time NFL quarterback, will become the coach at Lincoln High School, according to a report from Chris Egan of KING-5 TV.

A message left for Kitna's agent was not immediately returned.

Kitna, 39, attended Lincoln before going on to play at Central Washington. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 1996 and spent the season on Seattle's practice squad. He played for the Bacelona Dragons of the World League in 1997 before making the Seahawks team in 1997. He played four seasons for the Seahawks, appearing in 39 games. He also went on to play for Cincinnati and Detroit before spending the past three seasons with Dallas.

Lincoln finished 4-5 overall last season under coach Mike Merrill, 3-2 in Narrows 3A League and reached the postseason for the first time since 2006.
