Seahawks place DE Junior Siavii on injured reserve

RENTON -- Junior Siavii was placed on injured reserve Thursday by the Seahawks. He suffered a stinger in Sunday's game, and coach Pete Carroll had said the timetable for his return would depend on an evaluation Wednesday night.
Update at 5 p.m.: Linebacker Joe Pawelek was signed to the 53-man roster to take Siavii's place. Pawelek is an undrafted rookie Seattle signed over the offseason. He had been on the Seahawks' practice squad.
