Report: Seahawks claim quarterback Zac Robinson

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Update at 11:52 a.m.: Hold up on that report that Seattle claimed Zac Robinson off waivers from the Patriots. Sounds like he might be signed to the practice squad instead.

The Seahawks have claimed quarterback Zac Robinson, according to Adam Caplan. Caplan is a reporter for FOXSports.com, he hosts an NFL show on Sirius Radio and he is an all-around expert on personnel movement in the NFL.

The fact Seattle claimed a quarterback is not surprising. The fact it's Robinson? Well, that's going to surprise a lot of people who expected Matt Leinart to win up in Seattle after he was waived by Arizona.

Looks like that's not happening.

What kind of quarterback is Seattle getting? We refer you to the analysis provided by Doug Farrar, one of the esteemed Football Outsiders.

Scouting combine analysis
Doug Farrar, Football Outsiders

"For a spread offense quarterback, Robinson has a good overhead delivery, looks comfortable in five- and seven-step drops, and puts some real velocity on the ball."
