Justin Forsett, Julius Jones to split carries in the backfield
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Then again, it might be Julius Jones.
"It depends on what personnel group we're in," coach Jim Mora said.
Just how the carries will be divided remains to be seen, but Mora said Forsett will be featured more prominently in this week's game plan than last week.
"Are we going to see more of Justin?" Mora said. "The answer is yes, absolutely. He's not limited. He had a good week of practice, and he didn't have any setbacks. And we like the things that he has been doing. And we want to increase his role."
Forsett rushed for more than 120 yards in two of Seattle's final three games in November, but last week he carried only five times against San Francisco after suffering a quadriceps injury in practice two days before the game.
Forsett practiced without limitation and is expected to be fine.
That doesn't mean he'll start, though. Mora said that will depend on which personnel group is in the game.
"You'll see 'em both," Mora said, "and we like 'em both."
Lewis' status is questionable, which translates to a 50-50 chance he will play.
"He will be a game-time decision," Mora said of Lewis. "He practiced all week in a limited role. He didn't feel great, but he's a pretty tough guy."
