Justin Forsett injures quad in practice today
Posted by Jose Romero
The Seahawks running back didn't finish practice and will be listed on the team's injury report as questionable today with a strained quadriceps.
"I think he'll be OK, but I can't tell you for sure yet," coach Jim Mora said.
Forsett said he stopped practicing so as to not further get hurt. "It's just a little tweak. I don't see it keeping me out," he said. He got hurt running the ball.
"When I felt it, I was like, man I should probably tell somebody about this because I didn't want to further injure myself," Forsett said, adding that if it had happened in a game, he'd have tried to play through the pain.
Mora said DE Cory Redding is doubtful for Sunday's game with a concussion, as is LB D.D. Lewis with a knee injury. "Unless they make a miraculous recovery in the next 36 hours or so, they probably won't play," Mora said.
DE Lawrence Jackson remains questionable but practiced Friday. RB Julius Jones practiced fully and was pronounced ready to play Sunday. "We'll see how his conditioning is, that'll be factor," Mora said. But he expects that if Forsett can play, both he and Jones will get a lot of carries as long as the Seahawks are running the ball well.
