Breaking news: Seahawks still healthy, Seahawks still healthy.

Posted by Danny O'Neil

For the first two months of this season, Wednesday mornings were one of the very busiest times in beat coverage. Jim Mora held his weekly press conference at 10 a.m., it would usually be done by about 10:45 and then there'd be a race to the media room to update the injury report.

What's Walter Jones' status? How about Leroy Hill, did he have surgery on his injured groin? Which offensive lineman went down in Sunday's game? How's Matt Hasselbeck and his busted ribs.

Today here's the injury update: (Sound of crickets chirping).

It's 10:40 a.m. and all's well with regard to the health of the Seahawks' roster.

"We're in pretty decent shape," Mora said.

It's not perfect. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is expected to be limited during practice because of a sore shoulder and Mora said it's still not certain whether Sean Locklear will return to the starting lineup. There will probably be others limited during this week.

"Nothing that's out of the ordinary for this time of year in professional football," Mora said.

That makes it extraordinary around these parts after a year and a half full of injuries.

The two biggest questions in terms of availability this week:

  • Tackle Sean Locklear has missed the past six games after suffering a high ankle sprain.

"We'll see throughout the week how he's doing," Mora said.

    Now, how about Hasselbeck's shoulder.

"No. It's not 100 percent," Mora said. "It's sore. But we expect him to be good to go on Sunday."

How did he hurt the shoulder?

"I think it was sore going into the game," Mora said. "When you're a quarterback in this league, you take some shots [hits]. He'd taken a shot against Dallas. He was sore. It was nothing structural, and then when he tried to make the tackle on the interception, I think he further aggravated it. So he had to manage his way through the game. He did a nice job really not letting onto the fact that he was hurt, and did a great job of working the checkdowns and the short, intermediate routes. We really didn't take any shots down the field because it would have been tough for him to do."
