Seahawks add Derek Walker to 53-man roster, replaces Mike Hass

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Seattle made a roster move Tuesday, signing defensive end Derek Walker to the 53-man roster in place of wide receiver Mike Hass. Hass was signed to the 53-man roster last week after Ben Obomanu suffered an oblique injury in Seattle's Nov. 1 loss in Dallas. However, Hass was not active for last week's game against Detroit even though Obomanu did not play either. Seattle had four receivers active for the game.

Seattle simply didn't have the need for another receiver on the 53-man roster, and Walker is a prospect Seattle is clearly interested in developing. He began the season on Seattle's active roster, but was released to make room for D.D. Lewis after Leroy Hill was injured in the season-opener. Walker cleared waivers and has been on the practice squad since.
