Dallas leads 35-10 at the end of the third quarter. The final score of last year's game on Thanksgiving was Dallas 34, Seattle 9. The Seahawks were more competitive this game.

Cornerback Marcus Trufant was penalized for pass interference for the third time in the game, and was defending Miles Austin on the 3-yard touchdown pass.

Seattle's got the ball to begin the second half. What do the Seahawks want do with it? How about a run? Yeah. That's it. Establish the run game. Julius Jones gains 1 on first down. Seattle picks up a first down on the next play with a holding penalty against Dallas nosetackle Jay Ratliff. First down, what do you want to do? How about a quick pass to a running back? Yeah. That's the ticket. Spread 'em out a little bit. Keep 'em from compacting the middle. Result: Gain of 1.

After Seattle converted a third-and-1 with a pass to Nate Burleson, Seattle had its third first down of the drive. What do you want to do? Go back to the run, right? Sure. Persistence. Julius Jones gained 1.

Second quarter

A pass-interference penalty in which Miles Austin ran into Marcus Trufant, and a touchdown pass to Roy Williams in which he stuck the ball over the end zone with one hand, lost it as he landed.It was reviewed and upheld.

Seattle's fourth possession: Results in the very first punt of the game. Seattle goes three-and-out after Dallas linebacker Bobby Carpenter comes untouched for a sack. Justin Forsett was assigned the blitz pickup, but that wasn't his fault. Carpenter was there too quick. Someone has to keep Carpenter from catapulting through the line like that.

Dallas' fourth possession: Seattle's pass rush finally found its way home, knocking down Tony Romo three times in the span of four plays. Only one of those three knockdowns was a sack (that was courtesy of David Hawthorne) and Dallas' drive petered out and Nick Folk missed a 48-yard field-goal attempt. On the third down before that, Lawrence Jackson gave Romo a pretty stiff shot. Seattle hadn't knocked Romo down until this drive.

You might need a refresher on No. 83. See, he hasn't done all that much for Seattle this season. He hasn't done nearly enough in his first three years for some fans' tastes, but he just caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Matt Hasselbeck on third-and-8, the second third-and-long Seattle converted on an 80-yard drive. There was also a 36-yard completion to Nate Burleson on third-and-10, and yowser, all of a sudden there's something that distinctly resembles a contested football game.

Seattle's third possession: Oh boy, another run on first down of a possession. This time it was to Edgerrin James. Pretty familiar result, though. Gain of 1. Seattle has run on the first play of each of its three drives. The result is a loss of 1, gain of 1, gain of 1.

Cowboys converted their second third-and-long of this drive courtesy of a pass-interference penalty against Marcus Trufant who grabbed ahold of Miles Austin. That sets up first-and-goal at the Seattle 2.

Cowboys convert third-and-11 with a 16-yard completion to Patrick Crayton against Deon Grant. Seahawks have not knocked Tony Romo off his feet yet.

Seattle's second possession ends as it was just getting going. Running back Justin Forsett picked up enough yardage for a first down on a third-and-3 rush, but Cowboys cornerback Terrence Newman put his helmet on the ball, which popped out to Orlando Scandrick and Dallas had the ball at the Seahawk 30. The final play of the first quarter didn't count statistically, nullified by a holding penalty against tight end Martellus Bennett, but it's going to leave a mark on receiver Miles Austin, who took a pitch, ran around end and got lit up by safety Jordan Babineaux, fumbling the ball. The Cowboys recovered, a holding penalty wiped out the play, but that's one to file away to see if it affects how Austin plays the rest of the game.

Sam Hurd 36 pass from Tony Romo at 3:12 (Nick Folk kick), Dallas 7, Seattle 3. Drive: 7 plays, 78 yards, 3:46. Seattle had only given up four passes of more than 30 yards in six games this season. They've given up one in the first quarter here as Seattle demonstrated some pretty poor tackling on a second-and-1 play that went for 36 yards. Dallas' two longest completions that possession were both against right cornerback Ken Lucas. Miles Austin had a 15-yard catch against Lucas on third-and-2, and then the touchdown pass.

Seahawks' first possession: Throw out the playbook. Seattle's passing for it on third down (converted on 1-yard pass to T.J. Houshmandzadeh). They're putting Seneca Wallace in the game in the Sene-Cat, Matt Hasselbeck lined up wide right and running for huge chunks of yardage and gosh darn if this isn't an effective drive Seattle is assembling. Julius Jones carried sixtimes for 26 yards on the drive, and Olindo Mare kicked a 43-yard field goal.

Dallas' first possession: Josh Wilson starts at left cornerback, promptly gives up completion to Miles Austin. Two plays, two first downs for Dallas. I don't think you teach wide receivers to tap balls up in the air like Roy Williams just did. Twice. On consecutive plays. It's that lack of thinking that makes you think Seattle might have a chance. And just when you think that, Justin Forsett thinks it's a good idea to field a punt on his own 5 and return it 1 yard. Yeah. They don't teach you to do that, either.
