Lofa Tatupu placed on injured reserve, Marcus Trufant activated
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Coach Jim Mora asked if the plan remains for Trufant to be involved in just nickel coverage packages.
"Well, we're still evaluating it," Mora said. "We're going to just see where we are on Sunday ... The one thing we don't want to do is come out of that game saying, 'We wish we would have played Tru more.'
"So we're very conscious of that."
Mora was then asked about Trufant's conditioning.
"It's not like he's not in shape. He's in shape. It's just it's different when you're playing a football game as opposed to training or practicing."Rob Sims will start and is ready to play the full game.
Defensive end Patrick Kerney also will be ready to play.
Update: Moments in suspicious injuring reporting, Dallas Edition: Here it is Friday, and nosetackle Jay Ratliff -- who has not been on the injury report all week -- is suddenly listed as questionable with a knee injury that prevented him from practicing. Hmmmmm. Interesting.
OUT: S C.J. Walllace (hamstring)
DOUBTFUL: T Sean Locklear (ankle), did not practice.
PROBABLE: QB Matt Hasselbeck (ribs), G Rob Sims (ankle), DE Patrick Kerney (groin)>
OUT: CB Allen Rossum (hamstring).
QUESTIONABLE: NT Jay Ratliff (knee), did not practice.
PROBABLE: RB Marion Barber (thumb), S Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb) and LB DeMarcus Ware (foot).
