Matt Hasselbeck: "It was manageable today."
Posted by Danny O'Neil
"It was manageable today," Hasselbeck said.
How was the pain?
"I'm OK," Hasselbeck said. "Not bad."
The issue will be Hasselbeck's ability to throw the ball. He and Wallace both played quarterback at practice Wednesday.
"I want to be fair to the team," Hasselbeck said. "I want to give everybody everything I've got, and hopefully I'll be out there. But at the same time, I want to be fair to Seneca, if for some reason I'm not able to go, then he needs to prepare to play. Today was a good start, we'll see how tomorrow goes."
Update at 6:27 p.m.: Everyone should be glad to know the injury has not affected Hasselbeck's sense of humor.
Will he wear rib padding when he returns?
"Well, I was wearing rib pads when I got hurt so those are going in the trash," Hasselbeck said. "I'm going with a new company."
Later in the interview, he was asked if he doesn't know how he'll really feel until he finds out how sore he is the morning after.
"It's a constant thing," Hasselbeck said. "Have you ever broken your ribs?"
Nope, said the reporter.
"I can tell," Hasselbeck said. "I can tell who has by the way they treat me."
