It's not easy being green

Gang green: Seattle's linebackers on the field in their new green alternate jerseys.

The Seahawks are out of the tunnel or the cat's out of the bag or whatever metaphor you want to choose. Seattle's specialists -- K Olindo Mare, P Jon Ryan and LS Kevin Houser -- are the first to take the field in the new uniforms.

I've been trying to come up with the right description of them. Nuclear cabbage was an early suggestion. Psychadelic moss was nominated by my lovely wife. I also like the idea of lime-n-berry, giving the green combination with the blueberry shade of the sleeves and pants.

So, we open it up to the people.
